PHILIPPINE team did their best, after the hardwork and preparations the results were not meet but we can say that it is much better than before,....
What matters most is your attitude and sportsmanship. Loosing in the game is sometimes painful. We are not alone in these struggles and agony. Good lessons in life are being learned mostly when we are under the shadow of defeat. Don't miss this last shot to win - winning over yourself. Don't stop dreaming something big. You guys actually did not frustrate the Philippines for being in the 9th place. You made our country proud. I think seeing you play in the FIBA after long period of silence is already a good enough that you made it. Congrats and God bless you all.
"Your effort and determination really mattered most when the game is on the line. It's really hard to play when your emotionally downed not only by lossing"
he only way basketball can improve once more in the Philippines is if the amateur leagues from the provincial to the national collegiate stop using ineligible players. It is very common that even in our summer leagues in the provinces and right in the center of Metro Manila we see obviously overaged players playing in the midgets and junior ranks! And to think that the organizers with their set of rules tolerate such a thing. La Salle and Ateneo now have foreign players. The PBA too have so called foreign players with Pinoy roots. Of course we all know that the varsity players of most of our colleges only go to school to practice at the hardcourt. Its time we develop our youngsters!
china, are the winningest(if there's such a word) teams in Asian Basketball. Stop saying that we should just forget about the past/ stop glorifying it because in fact we should actually be proud of it. it only proves that the Philippines can deliver. We've done it before. IT IS POSSIBLE. I don't want to blame anyone for the losses of team Pilipinas. you heard the news, one coach(either from Kuwait or Syria) said that the Philippines deserves to be in the FINAL FOUR. they know the capabilities of our basketball team. i was reading the newspaper yesterday and jimmy alapag said that even though it is so hard to play, since they lost already their olympic dreams, they are still doing this, at least for respect and for those who still care.
